Amy Sorrell leaving Woodlan Junior-Senior High School
East Allen County Schools Superintendent Kay Novotny put Amy Sorrell on paid leave on March 19, two weeks after her journalism class refused to print a new district policy subjecting all student writing to review.
The new review policy was implemented after a column from sophomore Megan Chase was published on Jan. 19 in The Tomahawk, the school newspaper. The Chase column urged tolerance of homosexuals.
Amy Sorrell will be leaving Woodlan High, but will now teach at Heritage Junior-Senior High School
