Each year, the brainiacs over at Merriam Webster scan books, newspapers, the web, tv, movies and other outlets in search of new words that are taking over the English language. The word sleuths then decide which of these words are deserving of “official” entry into the Merriam Webster dictionary, thereby making “real words” out of these terms we can’t seem to stop using. Anti-same-sex-marriage groups have recently discovered a new target in their fight against the legalization of gay marriage–”Merriam Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary,” according to The Associated Press (AP). So Who Won with the US Government Bailout? Of course, this has been written about before, both by me and pleny of other writers who are a lot more famous (or should be). But the Obama US government bailout got discussed a lot in the very early days.
