Apple [AAPL] has updated its Mac Pro, and added the option to have a 3.33GHz Quad Core Intel Xeon Processor, which is now offered in addition to the 2.66GHz quad core processor and the 2.93GHz Intel Xeon processor.

With a launch imminent for Intels new Nehalem chip architecture they have now reduced the prices of some quad-core processors, the new Nehalem architecture allows the chips to execute more tasks whilst drawing less power.

Apple today updated its Xserve lineup with Intel Nehalem based Xeon processors and next generation system architecture. The Xserve are now available with up to two 2.93Ghz Intel Xeon processors and option of selecting a low-power solid state drive along with up to 3TB of internal hard drive storage.
