Yana Gupta, one of the sexy sirens of Bollywood, started modelling at the age of 16. Born as Yana Synkova in Czechoslovakia, the established model changed her name to Yana Gupta after her marriage to a Pune based artist Satya Gupta. Before settling in India, she built a reputation as a supermodel in Europe and Japan, worked in Milan, Paris and Vienna with clients like Calvin Klein, Victoria’s Secret, Nivea, Toyota, Honda and Sony to her credit. A graduate in park architecture and gardening, the stunning Czech beauty has also done some music videos. Besides bagging modelling assignments for Lakme, Limca, MTV and PETA, the hazel eyed Yana made a sizzling debut on big screen with the item number 'Bijli Giri' in the film 'Dum' (2003). She is the brand ambassador of Christian Dior. The picture perfect looks, curvy figure and porcelain skin has made this multi-faceted svelte belle an hot asset on the ramp and dance numbers.

Yana Gupta to release English music album

New Delhi: Yana Gupta is all set to come out with her first ever English music album soon.

"I am working on my first music album very seriously. It will take some time to materialise," says Yana. "I am quite confident about the success of my new project," she added.

Yana says she is busy with the album, for which she is composing, writing and even singing.

"I have taken singing lesson earlier. But as English is not my first language, it is taking some time to grasp," she smiles.

But what has inspired her to make a music album? She says "Someone heard me singing and advised me to come out with an album. It forced me to think about it and I made up my mind to do so."

"I don't claim to be a great artist, but I am confident as a woman, as a human being. I am trying my best to make this a quality one," Yana says

The fitness freak model-turned-actress also aspires to work in Bollywood films and is currently looking for a "good" role there.

"I have got a couple of offers, but not impressed with any scripts so far. Those were not so good for me," she adds.
