Yaoi is a manga (Japanese comic) style aimed primarily at women. It presents relatively feminine, glamorized male characters in sexually charged scenarios. It is generally more "romantic" than graphic, and cannot be directly likened to either Western homosexual erotica, or the inverse of "lesbian" fantasies targeting heterosexual men. Basically, eye candy for women and gay men.
Another of November's winsome lads moves up the modeling totem pole. It wasn't more than a day ago it seems when I saw news of too-beautiful, no-really "Marko S." from Specimen Model Management . Today, I happened across this from Red Models : Deven Sullivan! I am thankful Red uses full names. In "Dark eyes glitter brightly," I could only bill the glowering muffin as "Deven S." Sexy tangent: Red also represents Tyler Riggs . Taking another blast from the past, I happened across the local blog... Read Full Story
If you have a hunger for high fashion and low cut jeans, Red Model's blog lays out the agency's assets on a series of "cards" made with your peculiar needs in mind. The images aren't as big as one might wish (they would be fantastic wallpapers), but there are over 30 cards in all, and I highly recommend checking out the entire series . Here are a few of my favorites: Nelson. Jason. Ibrahim. All in all, an excellent promotion!

The fashion industry's fondness for Flash has been giving me fits. It is difficult to direct people to pretty pictures without providing some hint of what's waiting on the other end. "Trust Me!" doesn't cut it. People! Open up! Well, turns out Red Model Management has opened up a bit, with a blog right here. And it did not take much scrolling (well, not too much) to find my next Underwear Model of the Week. Francesco Balestra . Goddam. Inhale, exhale. Inhale, exhale. With such a magnificent... Red recently updated its blog with new shots of crowd-pleaser Tyler Riggs, in a series by the photographer Jon Malinowski . Malinowski knows how to exploit the boy's odd planes. In some poses (though not this charmer), he reminds me of a pretty Lurch. I like that. They're creepy and their cooky, they're altogether spooky, the Adam's Family duh-na-na-nah snap snap. Or something. According to the blurb introducing the images, Riggs will be shaking his little butt on runways around the world... Read Full Story
Presidential primaries and the fate of the free world be damned! In cahoots with GQ, Armani Exchange was apparently running an underwear contest to which I was not invited. One finalist and two semi-finalists were chosen. Pictured above, Michael Bellantuono... semi-finalst. Robbed, lad! You were robbed! Al Gore received a Nobel Prize in exchange for being hoodwinked out of the Oval Office by voter fraud, miscellaneous corruption, and the state of Florida. In a similar vein, I pick Mr... Continuing with my tradition of underwear models who show no underwear, I pick Ronney G. as my next... Underwear Model of the Week! Other shots in his portfolio do show underwear, and would perhaps be more appropriate for the ostensible theme, but what caught my attention here is hair (and not on his head). Although I'm all for waxed and spotless, I am also all for not waxed and spotless. Ah-ni-mahl, baby!

Red Model Management's new face Tyler Riggs strikes a fine pose. The exposure is a little bright, but the hair is perfect - and I would like to encourage more tattoos on the runway. You can laser all that stuff off when you get old and wise, beautiful. A toast... to the next Underwear Model of the Week (in the fine tradition of winners who don't wear underwear)!

There can only be so many annoying double-underlined words in a post with few words, so getting right down to it, when I saw the scar on this bad boy, I knew I'd found my next Underwear Model of the Week... Myron H. ! Scars and torso hair - this is fashion verite .

From: Free Ebooks Reading YAOI Comics: An Analysis of Korean Girls' Fandom 1 By Sueen Noh Introduction Male homosexuality has become a popular subject of girls' comics2 circa 1995 in Korea. The Donga Korean Dictionary (1990) explains homosexuality as an "abnormal sexuality between the same sex," indicating that a majority of our society still regards heterosexuality as a value of tradition and normality and homosexuality as a symptom of deviation and abnormality. The homosexuality in girls... Read Full Story
However much I might wish otherwise, I can't include KAT-TUN in a blog about visual kei. They are not a rock group, but a collection of "talent idols" - first letter taken from each member's name, and an enormous commercial success. Yes, N'Sync. But while this particular group started around 2006, Johnny & Associates (the talent agency responsible for putting them together) has been in business since 1963. Other enormous commercial successes from the agency include KinKi Kids (now that's a... Read Full Story
