Yaoi is a manga (Japanese comic) style aimed primarily at women. It presents relatively feminine, glamorized male characters in sexually charged scenarios. It is generally more "romantic" than graphic, and cannot be directly likened to either Western homosexual erotica, or the inverse of "lesbian" fantasies targeting heterosexual men. Basically, eye candy for women and gay men.
