Over 400 children taken at gunpoint, from their parents and placed in the custody of the state, likely spurred by  a fake phone call alleging abuse.  Whether you agree with the lifestyle of these folks or not, this should make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.

“Removal is always the last option,” he said. “In this case, there was no other choice.”

CPS officials have conceded there is no evidence the youngest children were abused, and about 130 of the children are under 5. Teenage boys were not physically or sexually abused either, according to evidence presented in a custody hearing earlier last week, but more than two dozen teenage boys are also in state custody, now staying at a boys’ ranch that might typically house troubled or abandoned teens.

The reach, audacity and nerve of the federal government is getting very, very frightening.  The kind of fright that makes you mad, furious and at the ready to strike back.

On top of it all, this scene has put on me on a side of the ACLU I find very distasteful…

I wonder why I haven’t heard much opinion about this in the blogosphere?
