Yohji Yamamoto is a Japanese avant-garde fashion designer. His own line is quite popular in Tokyo, but his collaborations with other companies, from Adidas to Hermes, have helped to make him a household name.

The WSJ reports that the Japanese fashion house Yohji Yamamoto Inc. has filed for bankruptcy protection. The WSJ says an investment firm named Integral Corp. will acquire Yohji Yamamoto out of bankruptcy. The firm listed debts totaling six billion yen, or $67.8 million, according to a spokeswoman in Tokyo.
