Thanks to Latino Heritage Month, the students of UIC had a one-night crash course in salsa dancing. At 7 PM on September 28, I went to the East Terrace of SCE to see what it was all about. I never danced salsa before and was a little nervous. Especially when the two instructors were dancing to a lively Latin beat together, while I was munching away on the churros, macaroons, and Cuban guava pastries with a refreshing rice drink called horchata.
