Welcome back now......!!!! OK... Getting lots of heat and grief about not keeping up on the Blog... Reality is after my 50th post.. I think I hit a mid-blog crisis... Started wondering what I was going to do with the blog beyond 50 and did more thinking than typing... This is really the first time I have touched the keyboard as it relates to the blog since 6/10... Big Sis has offered to it pick up and share her thoughts, Little Guy has asked to post his videos.. (More on that later)... Others have just asked... what happen... So as I come to grips ... Been writting this little blog and realize that from time to time the words actually leave a mark...  other times the babble is more for me... and that I enjoy looking back, ahead as much as I love living the moment....  Over the past 50 posts... I have learned to careless about what other migth think or summize.. and go with my gut.. I recommend this to anyone that ever kept a journal...  Read Full Story

I know... where have you been... Been right here dealing with life's little adventures. Letting the little things get in the way of actually making my 50th post. I think I have been trying so hard to figure out what is the right thing to type that I missed the correct thing to type. This entire blog has been about change, changes and changing and how we are impacted by or influence it... Well the simple change was the arrival of Dot, the obvious changes were related to our adjustment we made but the biggest thing that has occurred around changing.. Not what you ... Read Full Story

Sorry..Sorry..Sorry.. I know it's been to long... Life has gotten in the way the past few days..when I heard the calling of the keyboard, I always seemed to get pulled in another direction. I think the few blogs done during day light hours throw me off schedule. Not complaining because what was derailing me from my thoughts was bringing me great joy..little things amounting to big things... or big things driving smaller moments within... don't worry I'll try to explain some of it... all in all I have had a great few days... no curve balls tossed my way, just enough aggravation to keep ... Spent yesterday speeding across the highways and byways that make up the mid- Atlantic region. Had a lot of things run through my head as I was driving... Between calls, rolling the radio dial from Dylan to the Who and the memories that rushed at me as fast as I was traveling, I had a thought... yes just one.. not a big one... but one that stuck with me through my drive back home and across my emails from the road... Words... What is the saying put a bunch of monkeys in a room with a type writer and they would eventually type something ... Read Full Story

Not sure what happen to my last two posts... You don't know what you missed, some of my best stuff ever... I will attempt to recapture the wit and wisdom of the past few days, worse case...I will recap the long weekend and the events that make a holiday more like work. So with the start of the long Holiday weekend we saw the end of Camp Dot. No more sleepovers for out of town travelers. Since the "Arrival" we have been blessed to have our parents experience the newest of their granddaughters, the awww moments of seeing them hold the baby or when ... Read Full Story

It is not three days until the end of today, so technically I stayed on schedule. A lot has happened in the past two days in all our lives. One event that I can not let pass is the birthday of a friend of the Blog.. Known by a few names..but agreed to be called NJRB for the purposes of being mentioned in the blog. She is a great friend, my spell checker and wonderful person. Happy Birthday NJRB!!!! Many more.... The official unofficial start of summer is upon us... Doesn't it seem like Memorial Day is so much earlier this year... Like Day ... Read Full Story

No, I haven't given up yet, no I am not getting lazy and switching to every third day and no... I haven't run out of useless things to document on these pages. I started last night with all intentions of getting the pages filled.. but somewhere between create and publish, I got hit with a serious bout of procrastination.... so bad that I watched the late hour of Saturday turned to the early morning of Sunday.. to the mid-day and finally to the late hour of Sunday... In between those hours I had numerous things I wanted to or should have put down on ... Read Full Story

Time for a new post. Not sure how I will pull this off as my mind is mush. No I am not tired or exhausted by Dot's schedule. I have just spent the last 10 hours on a conference call, it could have went longer but I was given a pass due to the hour on the east coast. Safe to say, I've become comfortably numb... So most of my witty, insightful comments and observations have been spent today... So I will ramble slightly through the paths of my mind to see what nugget I might find. I will also use the help of ... Read Full Story

We lost the instruction manual for Dot, so we will be free wheeling it for the next 18 years or more. Figure we've done it twice, how hard can it be to do it a third time. We remember the basics commands... No.. No .. Because I said No... Believe we need to feed and change her, wake her and parade her in front of the throngs that come to wonder at her shrine call the crib. For the near future we will go on instinct and feed, change and dry tears.. oh yea.. and buy clothes.. lots of clothes. When mobility hits, we ... Read Full Story
