The Texas Rangers have won the bidding for Japanese starter Yu Darvish with a bid of $51.7 million, according to Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports . The bid narrowly beats the Red Sox bid of $51.1 million for Daisuke Matsuzaka back in 2006.
