SEATTLE (AP) — The Seattle Mariners have claimed right-handed pitcher Yusmeiro Petit (USE-mere-o pa-TEET) off waivers from the Arizona Diamondbacks.

According to MLBTradeRumors.com, the Seattle Mariners have claimed right-hander Yusmeiro Petit from the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The 24-year-old Petit went 3-10 with an ERA of 5.82 and a 1.52 WHIP in 89.2 innings (23 G/17 GS) last year.
Petit posted a solid K/9 rate of 7.43, but his BB/9 rate sat at 3.41, and he gave up 19 HRs.
