During Tuesday nights game against the Philadelphia Flyers, Zach Bogosian of the Atlanta Thrashers took a hit which banged his leg into the boards removing him from the game during the first period with clocking less than one minute into the game. Zach underwent X-Rays and an MRI on Wednesday to diagnose if there was any major injury. Don Waddell announced today that Bogosian has a fractured fibula which will sideline the rookie anywhere from six to eight weeks. Nathan Oystrick will be stepping into Bogosian's spot for now. Here is your update on Zach Bogosian: “Defenseman Zach Bogosian suffered a fractured fibula during the first period of Tuesday’s game against Philadelphia and will be sidelined indefinitely.” I talked to Don Waddell and he said it isn’t a displaced fracture, which would be more severe. He should be able to make a full recovery and the goal is to get him healed, rehabbed, and back in the lineup. Read Full Story
