I'm wildly curious to see what's going on in Sucker Punch. Zack Snyder's follow-up to Watchmen features a wild cast (Emily Browning, Vanessa Hudgens, Jamie Chung, Jena Malone and Abbie Cornish, with Carla Gugino, Jon Hamm, Scott Glenn and Oscar Isaac) with the first five names as a group of girls locked in an unsavory mental institution, from which they escape through fantasy. It is said to be violent and weird and full of monsters. And now...  

Sam Neill, Geoffrey Rush, Hugo Weaving and David Wenham have joined the voice cast of Zack Snyder's next film, the 3D animated feature Guardians of Ga'hoole. But wait, there's more.

Zack Snyder is a busy director these days, working on both the fantasy-action movie Sucker Punch and the 3-D animated Guardians of Ga'Hoole, based on the children's novel series written by Kathryn Lasky, simultaneously. Variety reports that Guardians is lining up an impressive cast of voices, including Sam Neill, Geoffrey Rush, Hugo Weaving, and David Wenham. Zack Snyder's 3-D animated film has been sort of flying under the radar so far, but expect to start hearing more about it now that the Watchmen helmer has landed his voice talent for the project.

       I'm still not sure why Watchmen was pilloried by so many. Considering how many adaptations are butchered by filmmakers, it was refreshing to see how closely Zack Snyder adhered to the source material by Alan Moore (except for, of course, the ending).
