It is a well known, but little talked about fact that Zimbabweans worldwide are among some of the most educated and respected people in their individual fields. The Zimbabwean education system was once the pride of Africa, and most certainly one of the highest standards throughout the modern world, so it is without surprise that you frequently hear of Zimbabweans making tracks in their own respective industries. Nestle says its Zimbabwe banking is back to normal just days after newspapers reported that the government froze their accounts and ordered an audit after the company stopped buying milk from a farm owned by President Robert Mugabe's wife. Nestle spokesman Ravi Pillay in neighboring South Africa said the company's Zimbabwe accounts were "operating as usual" Monday. Nestle's finance director Farai Munestsi said over the weekend that access to funds was blocked. Munestsi said Monday he could not comment. It is a well known fact that Zimbabwe is a nation in dire need of resources, funding and international aid, but while a sceptical international community are understandably loath to give the Government of National Unity are additional funding while Robert Mugabe and the Zanu PF elect loiter in the wings, it falls at the feet of Zimbabweans around the world to make every effort to try and bring relief to the struggling Zimbabwean people. Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe told the UN General Assembly on Friday that some unnamed Western countries were trying to divide his unity government. "Some of them are working strenuously to divide the parties in the inclusive government," he said.
