I made my first magazine when I was 11 years-old. It was a prototype, of course, intended more for my own reading than wide, newsstand distribution. Looking back, it was pretty sweet. I clipped bra and panty pictures from my mom’s Sears catalog and pasted them in on heavy stock construction paper interspersed with other clipped pictures of Star Wars and Battlestar Galactia cut-outs. Zimbio now reaches an even wider audience. According to Google Analytics, over 6,000,000 unique visitors came to Zimbio in July 2008. In July, some of the most popular stories included the Cynthia Rodriguez vs A-Rod battle, Dara Torres qualifying for the Olympics, and comparisons of celebrity hairstyles.
