A community portal about Zune with blogs, videos, and photos. According to Wikipedia.org: Zune is a Microsoft brand of portable media players, associated software, and an online service for acquiring and sharing media. Following its launch, Zune was briefly the #2 selling portable media player in the United States. The first Zune device released to the U.S. market was a 30 GB model for $249.99 on November 14, 2006. Certain retailers have already needed to mark down the price of the player to $239.99 in order to boost flagging sales.

Jaq_Attack's - Microsoft Zune 8GB MP3/Video Player Review. 7/10

So I received my very first 8GB ZUNE MP3/VIDEO PLAYER & dude, I felt like it was Christmas!
The Zune Packaging is very presentable. (Though, this may not be of importance) I really like their choice of packaging colours (Orange/Pink/Black/White)

Anyway, I received the 8gb MP3 player, along with their branded headphones.(I dig their choice of ear buds that were provided (they're also very colourful:)

COLOUR SCREEN
I'd have to say, the zune surprised me with their colour screen. They did a great job with their on-screen designs. This ads abit of "hipness" to the player.
As for the icons on the player, man, the fonts are huge! (Thank goodness cause I hate putting gadgets up to my face.)

The size of the player is very light & compact.
Even the earphones were loud & punchy. Kind of reminds me of 'Skull Candy'.

Some Zune features that I never seem to use:
- Wireless sync. Apparently you can connect & transfer files from your PC without wires (but it won't sync threw a public wifi network. You'd have to set up a LAN connection on which ever computer you decide to use at that time.)
-Bulit in FM radio. Pretty awesome feature but I choice my own music, sorry. (Wouldn't it be cool if their radio system could actually sync with XM or Sirius satellite radio?!?!

ZUNE PROBLEM
The only problem I seem to have is with their system compatibility. The zune player wouldn't work with my PC because I didn't upgrade my Windows Service Package.

(If you want to start using your Zune player, you MUST upgrade your Windows XP with SP2 or SP3.
That was a huge bummer & a total waste of my time. (I have 2 Ipods & 1 Iphone & didn't have to upgrade my XP at all when using the apple products)

Overall, the sound is great. The video quality is amazing. I seem to enjoy the colour screen function the most because it really does bring the player to life.

I give this a 7/10.
