According to Wikipedia.org: Zune is a Microsoft brand of portable media players, associated software, and an online service for acquiring and sharing media. Following its launch, Zune was briefly the #2 selling portable media player in the United States. The first Zune device released to the U.S. market was a 30 GB model for $249.99 on November 14, 2006. Certain retailers have already needed to mark down the price of the player to $239.99 in order to boost flagging sales.
Zune 3.0 Update on September 16

It’s not only the iPods that are going to have their software updated, the Microsoft Zune will be enjoying the Zune 3.0 software soon. All Zunes will support the new firmware via the update feature. With the new firmware comes the capability to buy from FM and music updating via WiFi. In fact, we’ve already mentioned these new Zune 3.0 features when we posted news on the blue flash Zune availability. Included in the entire package of the update is audio book support. Wow.
