The second USA Cycling Intense BMX Junior Development Program (JDP) Camp of the 2009/2010 season took place last week. With 22 participatns, it was the largest JDP camp so far. USA Cycling development efforts also paid off overseas last week as Danny Heeley and Ian Moir placed fourth in the UIV Talent Cup at the Zurich 6-Day.

Community supporting drive to give bicycles to teens

They started out with a goal of collecting 30 bicycles for older children in a Toys for Tots drive.
But they ended up going from zero to 100 in just a few weeks.
With their total well over 100 26-inch mountain bikes (along with their St. Paul store), Eden Prairie’s Wild Prairie Harley-Davidson-Buell dealership has met and exceeded that goal.

A bike parts maker is recalling its EA30 stem used on some 6,400 bicycles in the past two years after reports that the stem can crack.
The recall by Easton Sports involves the Raleigh 2007, XXIX 700c MTN, RX1.0, Diamondback 2007, Mission, and Sortie bicycles with the EA30 stem.
The Scotts Valley, California-based company is making the recall after being notified that a stem broke, causing a minor injury to the bike rider. Easton Sports says...
