The 40th Annual NAACP Image Awards was hosted by Tyler Perry and the lovely Halle Berry at the Shrine Auditorium in LA. The awards honor achievements and performances of people of color in TV, film, music and literature. Beyonce kicked the show off singing her song "Halo" and later won an Image award. The NAACP Awards is a big event now in its 40th year and was held last night in the Shrine Auditorium Los Angeles and there was a strong  A List turnout  at this event with big names such as Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson, Halle Berry, Rosario Dawson, Dakota Fanning, Will Smith, Stevie Wonder  and also the heavyweight boxing legend Muhammad Ali amongst many others.
