How To Get Tickets For National Christmas Tree Lighting

Washington Community Christmas Tree was lit for the first time on 24th of December, 1913 in the East Plaza of the U.S. Capitol. President Marine Band performed the occasion and was witnessed by over 20,000 people and 1,000 chorus singers. The event was organized by Woodrow Wilson and the Vice President, Thomas Marshal. The tree was presented by Middlebury College in the state of Vermont. The tree was later declared to be the "National Christmas Tree. In another development, National Christmas Tree Lighting was performed by President Calvin Coolidge in 1923. He lit the Community Christmas Tree on the Ellipse, south of the White House.
Since 1981, the National Christmas tree has been decorated and lighted each year. It has become a tradition for the President to light the tree during an official ceremony that is televised nationally. The National Tree Lighting Ceremony takes place in a month of Pageant of Peace. With the help of the Chairman of the pageant, the wife of Vice President must place the star at the top of the National tree during the festival.
A visit to the local discount store over the week confirmed that Christmas has arrived. The Halloween candy was marked down to free, and scavengers had already stripped the shelves of the remaining discount pet costumes. The holiday season normally starts on 1st of November every year. For that reason, you should be ready to get tickets for the National Christmas Tree Lighting.
