Insulation played a significant part in a target-beating reduction of domestic energy consumption, according to regulator Ofgem. The installation of insulation helped eight energy providers beat government targets of cutting household energy use by 130TWh in the three years to March 31st as part of the Energy Efficiency Commitment (EEC).
