My iPhone 3G is on (it vibrates and makes basic sounds) but the screen is black (even on bootup, shutdown, and any other time) I got a white screen when my friend called me, so I know the screen is still working. After 17 months of constant connecting and disconnecting of the USB cable my 3G has developed cracks on either side of the connector along the back plate. The crack caused a piece to come off around one speaker grille. Now Im trying to find a shop to do the repair since APPLE does not repair the units. Hi there,So I helped this guy replacing his glass cause it was broken.The phone worked great, but if he presses the power button and it goes to standby, when he presses that button again and it wakes up the screen no longer recognize hand touch.U guys think that looks more like faulty glass+digitizer? or could I actually have messed something on the inside?Thanks for the info......
