Assuming my iPhone is unlocked, I have a question about swapping SIM cards if I travel. With a traditional cellphone, I can simply swap SIMs when I land in another country and the phone works. Ive always had no problem syncing the phone to iTunes. Now for some reason I cant add or sync my music to the phone. When I connect it, it reads the phone, backs it up, but as soon as it starts to sync the phone goes away on the box on the left in itunes and the screen on the phone says sync in progress for as long as I leave it plugged in.I get a series of 3 error messages saying the device cant be synced cause the disk cant be read/written to. Ive never connected my iphone to my computer after two years of owning it. I know, lame. Anyway I would like to update to the newest software. Ive installed an ActiveSync profile for work and it works pretty well. My e-mail gets pushed very reliably, contacts and calendar sync work very well also. The problem is that, once in a while, I get the message that says:Passcode cannot be setThen, it talks about how the server is not responding. It asks if I want to close the dialog or retry. I did a standard PC sync to iTunes Friday 12/11 with no software update. Ever since, my iPhone 3G applications (safari/mail/messages) will freeze then close completely. The phone also restarts itself without warning, and when its connected to a charger (either wall or PC) it will wake up from sleep with the clock showing the wrong time, chime like youve just connected the charger then after a few seconds it will chime again and the clock returns to normal and the phone goes back to sleep. I always manually manage my music on the iPhone & iPods, because I have different things on the different players........ When removing music from the iPhone, it appears to work as the iPods do..you must go under MUSIC and delete from there.... simply deleting a PLAYLIST name, only does that, delete the PLAYLIST name from the list.....doesnt remove the music.....
