Nokia, the world's largest maker of cell phones, is suing Apple in U.S. federal court, saying the iPhone uses patented wireless technologies. Nokia Corp. claims the iPhone infringes on ten patents covering both phone calls and Wi-Fi access. It says 40 other phone manufacturers have licensed these patents from Nokia, but Apple hasn't. Had been having constant coma issues with 3.1, so upgraded to 3.1.2 the moment it popped up on my screen. Things seem zippier and more responsive, and so far no comas (fingers crossed)HOWEVER. It looks like the arrival of the iPhone on Orange and Vodafone could have a second, initially unnoticed, benefit… O2 is considering changing its position on unlocking iPhones at the end of a user’s contract.   Yup - same thing with Podcasts - I seriously think this has to do with the "back office" coding of adding the "Store" to the phone.
