128k uses about 1 MB/min. Obviously, 256k uses double that: 2 MB/min. 128k is still the default for most MP3 and used to be the default for AAC importing into iTunes. The iTunes store used to offer only 128k AAC but now offers 256k AAC (iTunes +). I think it might now be the default for importing too. Take a guess on song length (most are 3-4 mins) and you can easily work it out. Or simply look at the bottom of the iTunes window and it tells you how many songs, how many GB, and how many...
