While living in New York City, I went to go see a lot of art. The downside: I always had to travel into the city on the weekend to see it, or--if I was lucky--the opening would be on a week night, and I could pop-in after work to partake of the fantastic creations in SoHo or Chelsea. The best part of living in Albuquerque, besides the fact that I have my car, is that art galleries are little more than twenty minutes from my house. What's even better is that when art shows take place in Northeast Albuquerque, I'm even closer, and parking ... Read Full Story

In these tough times, it’s an all too common headline in the art world—another gallery is closing its doors. Amidst the resounding “We just can’t do it anymore. After X amount of years, we’ve decided to shut down.” It’s wonderful and refreshing, in what seems to be a dreary landscape for gallery owners, to hear of an artist, opening his own shop just before the holidays. Although there is nothing wrong with a woman who sets high standards for herself, most high maintenance women have certain traits that men should avoid by all accounts. High maintenance women are those who need many things to be happy, namely lots of money, material goods, affection and a great deal of attention. Meeting someone when you’re a single parent is tough, but telling your child that you have met a new woman can be even harder. Along with your child’s fear of being replaced, you’ll also have to deal with his/her fear of potentially having an evil stepmother. Such fears are, from an adult’s perspective, unfounded, but to your child, they are completely legitimate and need to be addressed. So, how do you tell your child that you’ve met someone? Here are some suggestions. When it comes to single parents and dating, the best thing is to be honest with your children upfront. Being a single ... Read Full Story

While having a great personality, properly grooming yourself and observing the right manners and etiquette are good ways to attract women, staying in good shape is equally important. Although looks are not everything, a protruding potbelly and man boobs are not sexy. You don't have to look like a roman Greek god, but keep in mind that most good looking women take notice to and find themselves attracted to a man who takes pride in his appearance and takes care of his body. Being in good shape will also make you feel confident, which is one of the sexiest traits a man can possess. ... Read Full Story
