Chapter Twenty-One--Anticipation...
I have bad news and good news.
The bad news is that Russell has pretty much decided against Memphis as he doesn't see it as a place where the community is anywhere close to being ready to come together to be part of a headquarters for IYN. They have too many other issues to deal with first. Besides, health and other benefits don't compare to what he gets in San Diego. The slower pace of life and what looked to be an almost luxury apartment for a song aren't even enough to put up with the trade-offs.
That's the bad news (or, should I say, disappointing news).
Now for the good news.
Here's the appetizer first...
Russell will be coming here to Indiana to spend Thanksgiving plus a few more days with my mom and me!
Although I'm bouncing off the walls from thinking about this news, it's only the appetizer!
Only the appetizer!!!
Now, we shall get to the feast--which can be best explained by pasting in the contents of an e-mail that Russell wrote to Hemant and me, so I'm turning the "mike" over to Russell now (Yes, I know that the first part doesn't sound too great, to say the least, but just keep scrolling down and reading!)...
Imperial County, which is on the border of San Diego County has had 25 earthquakes since Midnight, ranging from 1.6 to 3.0.
Mother nature is diffently on the warpath considering everything that has happened in the last few months all over the world.
Tornados is kicking butt big time down south, leveling communities right and left.
I will be out most of the day. I am doing an escorted walk through Juvenile Hall, as well I have several personal chores to run.
Now for some outstanding news, I was sent a link to the online inner sanctum of the executives, and told to go there immediately.
They voted to take over our endeavors for us in putting together a Homeless Youth Residential Center here in San Diego. I am so excited that I cannot sit still.
What this means is they are taking over the fund raising, selecting the property, etc.
I was told that I could give my input this coming Sunday at the meeting, then butt out and let them take care of business for us. And they will keep us updated as needed.
Totally outstanding.
I was so excited that I was dancing around the room with Rascal, until he threatned to call the stuffed dog division of the SPCA on me.
Now we need to get a handle on our online volunteers, Hemant is working on the executive end of the potential executive volunteers, and making good progress.

I am headed for the shower, clean-up and an early breakfast out, I have a long day ahead of me.
Have a good day, I will check my e-mail when I get home later this afternoon.
