This little friendly bakers helper has been offering tips and tricks for cakes for any and all occasions since 1956. Entries are by both professional bakers and reader submissions.
The art of cake decorating is shared by many in this little magazine. The magazine is filled with ideas and designs for all holidays, seasons, and occasions.
Mail Box News is filled with cake decorating tips, ideas, tricks, and techniques that have become a wonderful and valuable reference magazines for future cake decorators.
I recently had a customer contact me wondering if I had the July issue 1967 that talks about how to keep icing from melting. She was making a wedding cake for an outdoor wedding. Cake decorators have been known to save all the back issues for future references and compile them into their own personal cookbooks.
The magazine is still published bi-monthly and continues to be popular among cake decorators and caterers. It is filled with practical ideas and other cake decorator's personal experiences over the years. It continues to offer cake decorator's a wealth of practical to elaborate recipes and designs.
Some people collect these magazines and add them into a folder for future references. When they first came out, they provided black and white photos and then later included color. There is not a lot of difference in how to decorate cakes from the 1950s to now, but the recipes that are prized from years ago and continue to be used today.
