So Far No Dashboard Update…So…
I haven’t yet been able to update my lens JustBon’s Bottom Twenty Squidoo Lenses. However, I was happy to see that I could update one of my Olympics lenses, Great Britain at the Olympics: The Medal Winners, as Britain has gathered some more medals overnight, and now has a tally of 37. The team now stands fourth in the medal table (based on the number of medals) or third (if based on the number of different color medals). My hubby says this is the best his home country has done in years, and... Read Full Story
A JustBon Update - 8.14.08
A few weeks ago, I managed to complete my 100th lens and at that time I decided that I was going to slow down the lens creations and go back and update a lot of lenses that I had been neglecting for some time. Scanning over my dashboard today, I noticed that all my lenses now rank within the top 100,000 - not bad, I guess, since there now are around 650,000 total lenses. All the updating seems to have paid off. Now I need to address the traffic problem… One of the things I did to reach my 100... Read Full Story
Found Some Useful Widgets
I’m not sure when Squidoo introduced some of their new widgets (I musta been sleeping), but I’ve found some useful ones which have helped me in updating some lenses. I noticed a new Weather widget (from the Weather Channel), and I thought that this would be ideal for my lens about my husband’s hometown, Godalming in the UK. And it’s great that it works for British locations too. I’ve also added it to my new lens about my hometown, Akron Ohio, and my Cleveland Indians page. I also discovered... Read Full Story
Victoria Wood's Acorn Antiques
From:  www.squidoo.com
The extremely funny Acorn Antiques was a parody of a mini soap opera (based on the long-running British soap, Crossroads) set in a shop on the outskirts of the fictional town of Manchesterford, England. Viewers were gripped with the everyday dramas that beset Miss Babs (Celia Imrie), Berta (Victoria Wood) and the glamorous Mrs Overall (Julie Walters). Episodes included "Babs and the Cup of Coffee", "Mrs Overall and her Apron" and the memorable classic "Berta Coming Through the Doorway". Re... Read Full Story
Are These the Worst Songs…Ever?
I was trolling around on the Web yesterday, randomly looking for some more inspiration for new lenses, when I came upon on a site called spinner.com. They had a section there which named what they believe are the twenty worst songs ever. Well, it wasn’t long before my newest Ever lens was born The 10 Worst Songs Ever, using the songs that they had nominated. I can’t say that I necessarily agree with all of them, and because of this another light went off in my head. I’ve been thinking about... Read Full Story

JustBon's Bottom Twenty Squidoo Lenses
From:  www.squidoo.com
After what is now eighteen months as a member of Squidoo, this seemed the ideal time to sit back and reflect a little on what has been a busy time creating lenses. A few goals have been achieved. I was honored to be included in the second round of Squidoo Giants, and after completing over one hundred lenses, I was equally thrilled to become a member of the Giant's 100 Club. But if one thing is true, you can never sit on your laurels. As far as Squidoo is concerned, you have to keep enjoying... Read Full Story
Manfred Mann's Earthband: Blinded By the Light Lyrics
From:  www.squidoo.com
Blinded by the light, revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night Blinded by the light, revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night Blinded by the light, revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night Madman drummers bummers, Indians in the summer with a teenage diplomat In the dumps with the mumps as the adolescent pumps his way into his hat With a boulder on my shoulder, feelin' kinda older, I tripped the merry-go-round With this very unpleasin', sneezin' and wheezin... Coldplay: Viva La Vida Lyrics
From:  www.squidoo.com
I used to rule the world Seas would rise when I gave the word Now in the morning I sweep alone Sweep the streets I used to own I used to roll the dice Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes Listen as the crowd would sing: "Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!" One minute I held the key Next the walls were closed on me And I discovered that my castles stand Upon pillars of sand, pillars of sand I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing Roman Cavalry choirs are singing Be my mirror my sword and...
