According to the Maine Real Estate Information System, Maine’s Realtors sold 1,133 homes las month, thats a 13.76% increase from one year ago. Home prices eased by 9.57% to a median sales price of $170,000. This price is however, an increase over May 2009’s median sales price of $160,000. Nationaly, home sales rose .2% and sales prices were down by 15%. In New England sales dipped by 4.7% and prices were down 5.9%. Read Full Story

AUGUSTA (AP) — Maine business regulators have ordered 15 companies that promised but failed to help homeowners facing foreclosures to stop doing business in the state.
