Eating Primal Foods means eating simplified foods, lean meat, fish, vegetables, fruit, roots, and nuts that are prepared with less processing or cooking than conventional, modern foods. It also tends to reduce or exclude grains, legumes, dairy products, salt, refined sugar, and processed oils. Based on the diets of our pre-agriculture ancesters, the practice is often refered to as the Paleolithic diet, Caveman diet, Hunter-gatherer diet or Stone age diet. Those who seek to adopt the Primal Lifestyle, also look to reduce the artificial stress of modern day life, and incorporate slow moving exercise, and short, intense sessions that more emulate the daily routine of our early ancestors.
