Okay, I confess that the title of this blog entry is a poor joke. The World Junior Chess Championship for the Blind and Visually Impaired (Täby/Stockholm, Sweden) has just finished & Chessbase has announced the winner.

I find blind chess to be a remarkable feat of human achievement. The concentration and tactile ability required must be monstrous. I couldn't do it ... my hat goes off to the best in the world that can.
