How to Bond a WEP200 Bluetooth Headset to a Cellphone.
I asked Motorola. I asked Samsung. I asked a Motorola forum. I got nothing. My Motorola Razr V3(the original Razr) broke last week after many happy years of use. I did something previously that I've never done before - purchased the optional insurance. Yeah! I contacted the insurance company and filed a claim for a broken Razr V3. Of course the V3 has been discontinued for quite some time now and they said they'd ship me a compatible Razr replacement. I got the replacement within 24 hours of ... Read Full Story
Thanksgiving Means Turkey!
This Thanksgiving I'm going to take a major departure from the age old 'roasting of the bird' and go the deep fried way. I tried a test bird last week and I was very surprised to see that it actually was very moist and tender but the skin wasn't as crispy as I was led to believe it should have been. I did use a pre-basted bird, which I rarely will do, due to the sale I took advantage of. I've always brined my birds but you can't when you use a per-basted one because it'll be too salty. I did ... What a Day It Was.
Last week I got a subpoena to appear in court for a murder trial. The murder took place in 2006 and is just coming to trial. The detective in charge told me last year that I might get a subpoena but they were trying to see if my testimony was needed. This brings me back to the subpoena. I won't say who's trial it was or the circumstances of the case, I'm just writing about the day in general. I received many helpful sets of EASY directions to the courthouse that took many different directions... Read Full Story
While Working, Who Has Time For School?
I'm just saying, who has time to get yourself out of work and to a class or two so that you can try to scratch out a better salary? I don't, and most of the rest of you will be in complete agreement with me on that. Given the opportunity to maybe work some extra hours for a little more 'scratch' in our paycheck versus hurrying to a class for the potential for 'future' monetary gain, the quick and now money usually wins. On the other hand, maybe your one of the ones that recently fell onto har... Read Full Story
Sago Palm White Spot
This is a reprint from my other blog for viewing to a different following.I'm writing this article only because there are still people destroying their Sago palms because they think they're dying of white spot disease. I saw one person a couple of streets away rip out a once large, beautiful Sago because the plant died due to white spot. What is Sago palm white spot? It's cycad aulacaspis scale infestation(also known as Asian cycad scale and sago palm scale), which is a pest not a disease. Ori... Read Full Story

To Ping, or Not to Ping!
Okay, Technorati just put a crimp into my web site plans. In their effort to upgrade their site they removed the Ping function that allowed people like me with Blogger based websites to go to them and request a ping to update site posts. Scripts for doing pings from the blog itself do not seem to work with the Blogger architecture. This means I have just a few options in order to Ping myself. I can do manual pings with separate code or I can get hooked up with a website directory that will tr... Read Full Story
Things Are Getting Weird.
That's right, things are getting very weird. I wrote a post the other day referencing Do You Know the Way to San Jose song and now I suddenly hear from my cousin Brian in, where else, San Jose! Out of the blue he calls and wants to reminisce about old times in Massachusetts. He also knows I know quite a few attorneys and doctors, from college and business contacts. I was trying to find out, in a non-offensive way, what he needed because this was obviously not a social call from out of the blu... Read Full Story
Some Needed Repairs at Home.
The weather in Florida is starting to cool a little, down into the 80's! It's the perfect time to tackle some of those household repairs I said I'd do when it got cooler. In other words, my bluff is being called! Okay, I have to eventually do them so I may as well stop typing and go do them, well maybe not quite yet at least. I need to put pen to paper and detail what I need to do and what I need to pick up at Lowes home center. There's nothing worse, nothing, than getting halfway into a job ... Read Full Story
