Sam Fogg and Richard L. Feigen & Co. have partnered in presenting an exhibition entitled "Medieval Art and the Contemporary Spirit." It includes works from the 12th- 16th-centuries. Important Murals from Crusader Times Found
Two murals from the time of the Christian Crusades have been discovered in Syria in a Middle Age church. They show heaven and hell. These paintings are under renovation as centuries of dust and dirt covered them. Archaeologists of a Syrian-Hungarian team were excavating in 2008 at a Crusader fort on a hilltop near the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. The location is in the province of Tartous. Art Walk Mobile, AL
The LoDa ArtWalk, which stands for Lower Dauphin Street, happens every month year around, except April and October. The restaurants, bars, and art galleries get involved every second Friday. Musicians and dancers perform and artists show their works. Sometimes pottery is fired up at the Blind Mule,which also lets jewelry artists, painters, and photographers exhibit. In 2002 the Mobile Museum of Art was enlarged to 95,000 sq. feet. and become the biggest art museum on the Gulf Coast from New Orleans to Tampa. It sits in lovely Langan Park.
