Yankees beat the Red Sox
This game was a nail biter. It was pretty exciting to see Joba sloba the Youk with a fast ball high and up. Then Joba sloba’d the whole Bosox batting order. He out pitched Beckett and I’m sure Hank feels good about that. Cabrera made a great catch in the outfield, Cano made a great double play ball with a flip to Jeter. Awesome game. I was thinking, Joba the Sloba could be a nice name for him. It’s like he’s in the Ghostbusters and he just sloba’s people except he... Read Full Story

Yankees at Boston
The Yankees are up at Boston to take on the Red Sox. For some reason it feels like a bigger series than it should. We have Joba, who the Yankees want as their Josh Beckett, starting for the Yankees and we have Josh Beckett, starting for the Red Sox. There is a lot of time left in the regular season but anytime these two clubs square off, it makes for much excitement. I went to Peter Abraham’s blog and saw that Gardner is starting tonight which is great. I hope he gets on... Read Full Story
Yankees looking at Winn
According to Ed Price of the Star Ledger, the Yankees are looking into San Franciso out fielder Randy Winn. Winn is 34 years old and hits left handed and right handed equally unlike Melky Cabrera who’s batting .216 right handed. Mike Lupica
Mike Lupica of the New York Daily News believes the Boston Red Sox are in for a “pitched” battle. The Red Sox have lost too many late inning leads this season and have been a bad road team. The Red Sox lineup has looked as helpless as the Yankees’ lineup has this season and Lupica believes that Joe Girardi has done a better job with the Yankees’ bull pen this year than Joe Torre. Says Lupica.. Joe Girardi, at least so far, has done something Joe Torre hadn’t done for a long time... Read Full Story
The Rivalry
GEORGE VECSEY of the New York Times believes that Jonathan Papelbon has brought back the bitterness between the Yankee-Red Sox rivalry. Papelbum, as known in these parts, said during the All Star break that if given the chance, he should close the all star game over Mariano. During the parade during all star week, some Yankee fans felt that Papelbum was showing off his world series ring. Let it be noted that some touchy Yankee fans on the parade route felt Papelbon was... Read Full Story
Yankees winning streak on the line
The Yankees are stepping up in class today and session is in. They played the A’s who can’t hit and the Twins who fold every time they enter Yankee stadium. Now they take on the big bad Red Sox who are tied for first place against the Tampa Rays. David Ortiz comes back from the disabled list and the Red Sox are not afraid of the Yankees. The Red Sox have the best home record in the American League but the Yankees have a 6 game winning streak which Alex... Read Full Story
All the women want A-Rod
I’m going to have to give credit to the Star-Ledger because that’s where I read it first but it was originally posted in Page 6 of the NY Post. A-Rod was at the Empire Hotel Rooftop Bar and he left because all the ladies were harassing him and he felt bothered by it. I guess he has the pick of the litter!
