The Twilight Saga: New Moon totally out-shone the competition at the box office over the weekend. Along the way it also broke some records too. The Twilight sequel earned an estimated $140.7 million from Friday through Sunday. That’s the third highest opening total of all time, behind the $158.4 million each by The Dark Knight and the $151.1 million raised in 2007 by Spider-Man 3 during their opening weekends.
