Well, these pictures do nothing for my outfit, but they were the best I could get. I guess my camera has trouble picking up the difference between my dark denim shorts, black leather jacket, and deep purple tank. The below pic shows the colors a bit better…

Runways this season have featured a lot of sixties inspired hairstyles. I love the crazy makeup and over-the-top teasing at Christian Dior, and its clear who Karl Lagerfeld was inspired by for his Pre-Fall show. I just got my haircut very similar to Alberta Ferretti’s simple and pretty side swept look.
The singers Amy Winehouse and Duffy also have hairstyles reminiscent of the 1960s.

Yes, another music post on my fashion-based blog. However, I think that music and fashion are completely interrelated, and its hard to have one without the other.
The Killers is one of my favorite bands, and I am always influenced by their style, particularly that of the frontman/lead singer Brandon Flowers. He has been featured in a lot of my previous “inspiration” and “style icons” posts. I saw The Killers live last year and they were fabulous. To me, these songs sound like a mix of their... The Babyshambles’ song “Arcady” has surfaced on Adam Ficek (the drummer’s) myspace page. Follow this link and click on the song titled “sshhh” to give it a listen. I quite like it, but I love anything Babyshambles does.
What do you think?
These are pics of Pete Doherty from his fall/winter add campaign with Roberto Cavalli in 07/08.

Sorry for the lack of posts recently, I just got back from my friend’s beach house. It was awesome, and I have a tan!
Here are some pictures of these headband/scarf/bandana things I’ve been wearing a lot recently. They are great for summer when I don’t feel like doing my hair. The pictures are really repetitive and are horrible quality, sorry for that. Hopefully I’ll be getting a new camera for my birthday or Christmas, but until then, its these.
Since the pictures are so bad, I think its... Read Full Story
Recently, I’ve been listening to a ton of 1960’s girl groups. The Shangri-Las, made up of two sisters and a set of twins, is one of my favorites.
Pictured above, Mary Weiss was the lead singer and frontwoman of the group. I am thinking about getting my hair cut similarly to hers, with a deep side part and long, sweeping side bangs.
These are my favorite songs by the Shangri-Las. Sorry about the really bad quality of the first video.
