With the advent of social marketing and the increasing rise in popularity many people have begun to ignore some of the basic rules of email marketing. It’s almost as if they believe that because social marketing is so hot, email marketing must be so dead.
But this isn’t the case. While most customers have become much more savvy they also still receive, send and request email. The trick is to do it better – stand out from the crowd – and make a difference in the number of people who then... Read Full Story

I am a big fan of open source solutions. I like the way they are constantly updated and improved by multiple people – giving the product a broader base of both support and content. However, open source software can be a bit dicy when in the hands of someone who isn’t familiar with trouble shooting.
Although I’ve never used this particular solution myself it has come highly recommended by a couple of friends and has received kudos at the Warrior Forum as well. If you are opening a new... Read Full Story

I use chocolate. Dark chocolate to be more specific. Almost everyday I take a square of dark chocolate as my “medicine” or at least that’s how my children see it – Mommy is taking her medicine.
I have to be honest and be thankful that it’s the only medicine I ever take – and I’m not sure if my dark chocolate is the reason for that. OK – I say that tongue in cheek – I know it isn’t ONLY the dark chocolate that keeps me healthy – but I do rest my belief on a single study supported by Dove... Read Full Story

It wasn’t long ago that I had no clue about anything that pertained to Internet Marketing. I was completely enamored of working from home and spent hours reading garbage websites or tied to the never ending list of emails that were dumped in my email box.
Today is different. Today I find it easier to differentiate between the wanna be’s and the actual Be’s.
But it wasn’t always that way.
So how do you determine who is telling it like it is and who is blowing smoke out their proverbial... Read Full Story

I MUST have been living under a ROCK. You know how you do things one way all the time, everytime? You put your head down and barrel through life trying to get to the end of the day, the end of a project or the end of a job so you can pick up and start all over again. Or, at least sometimes I do.
Anyway, I used to specific ways of doing keyword research, checking my site statistics and recording information. Last week my sister, who has her ear to the ground at More In Store Marketing... Read Full Story

Mountain Dew – Soda that contained more caffeine and other unmentionables than any other drink on the market. Or at least it did up until 5 years ago when the current gaggle of energy drinks became popular.
Mountain Dew was easy (and still is easy) to become addicted to. It’s like coffee. Once you get used the buzz from the caffeine to get you through the day it doesn’t feel like you can get there any other way.
“Coming off” Mountain Dew was another well known problem. It wasn’t only... Read Full Story

Twitter is a social landslide that can’t be denied. Whether you enjoy the social networking or not it is here and here to stay.
We are, after all, creatures who enjoy the social aspects of life. And now that technology has made it possible to virtually never leave your home or desk, we’ve made it even easier to connect with others sitting at our desk.
I can’t imagine that Twitter, Facebook or MySpace would have enjoyed the success they do even 5 years ago, but today, when most of us... Read Full Story
