Aliens vs Predator is shaping up to be one of the biggest titles of 2010 and the best part about it is that all the hype is being driven by the gameplay.
In this latest trailer/interview we hear about the different multiplayer gametypes that will be offered and in my opinion the best looking one will be the hunt the predator one, where one person is nominated as the predator and the rest of the players form up as a squad of marines trying to take him out… and survive.
It looks like a l... Read Full Story

Published to Xbox 360
From: lazygamer.co.za
This isn’t going to come as a surprise to anyone who has followed the Bayonetta demo comparisons between the Xbox 360 and PS3.
During the demo comparisons it was proven that the Xbox 360 version was far superior to the PS3 one in virtually every way but that was only a demo and obviously SEGA had time to go back and polish the PS3 version somewhat.
Well unfortunately they decided to go to the pub instead and while they were away the intern gave it a crack and broke the game some more. That’... Read Full Story

In what can only be described as news of the blatantly obvious, Unreal Labs founder Jeff Strain has revealed that both Microsoft and Sony are interested in tying gamers into a subscription based MMO that eats your money and life away in small bite sized chunks.
According to Jeff
“I’ve been talking to them for years and I think they very much want to see this. There are lots of sticking points to get through. The questions will be how billing works, how the revenue is recognized and who gets... Read Full Story

From: lazygamer.co.za
Yahtzee, the hatted, acerbic fast-mouthed indie game developer has – as per weekly tradition – reviewed another game. this time, it’s the ridiculously popular Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2. He seems to have the same issues that I have with the game – While it is indeed one incredibly exciting thrill ride, it’s a ride I feel I’ve been on before.
Try your best not to crucify me – but like him, I also found the narrative to be a little lacking – with much of it not really drivin... Read Full Story

Here at Lazygamer we applaud anyone who just outright comes out and says that they are really Lazy and couldn’t be bothered to do something, like Ruffian Games.
Ruffian Games needs Graffiti for Crackdown 2 but aren’t really in the mood to make any, that and the fact that they aren’t really in the mood to actually pay for any work either.
So here’s the deal.
Make your graffiti, send it to Ruffian and you could see your awesome work in Crackdown 2, right next to crack ... Read Full Story

Published to Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell - Double Agent
From: lazygamer.co.za
Not too much has been revealed regarding the story aspect of Splinter Cell : Conviction – what we do know is that for a while at least, Sam has gone rogue. The official website has divulged a little more today – at least letting us know Russians will be involved. No, not the sausages – the vodka-swilling type. They’d better not be portrayed in a negative light – we know how much they appreciate that sort of thing.
The page now loads up with a message dated 27.11.09 (that’s in the future!), w... Read Full Story

You no doubt remember Erik Estavillo, the serial suer who unsuccessfully tried to sue Sony – and then set his sights on Microsoft and Nintendo? It seems he’s either batsh*t insane, or has no idea when to stop – and my money’s on him being completely off his rocker.
He’s now taken aim at Activision-Blizzard – and more specifically World of Warcraft.
The complaint charges the company with “deceitful” business practices, saying that Activision-Blizzard “continues to maintain a harmful virtua... Read Full Story

A new Resident Evil Game, and a new controversy. The Darkside Chronicles, Capcom’s 2nd Wii on-rails lightgun shooter has raised the ire of the clergy, as it apparently turns children in to violent, sociopathic baby-eating Satanists.
Bishop Bryant of Jarrow, Archdeacon Brian Smith and Rt Rev John Goddard have accused the game of promoting such vileness as violence and the occult amongst the UK’s youth, offering such trollop as “If we dabble in this area we open ourselves to influences ... Read Full Story

A really large campaign was launched that promised that a free Avatar item would be unlocked for Final Fantasy fans if they all tweeted the living hell out of it on Twitter.
Well they did and the item has now been unlocked and all you need to do is to go and register for it. I will post the two links below, which are for US account holders and UK account holders (they must have, umm, misplaced the South African account details somewhere…).
Head in, log in, sign up and you will receive ... Read Full Story

This is one of those games that somehow got under my radar. You play as one of the four horseman of the apocolypse, War, and you get to kick some serious ass.
Darksiders may look like a standard Ninja Gaiden/God of War clone at a glance but after seeing this trailer, I am really excited to play it. The trailer shows off some insanely large weapons, including the Grim Reapers Sickle and really impressed me with the level of damage that they do.
Big gashes, severed limbs, all the stuff that ma... Read Full Story
