“No reason.” That quote from the prologue of Rubber pretty much sums up the film. If anything happens that you don’t understand, it’s for no reason. A line of dialogue that makes no sense is for no reason. A character appears and disappears never to be heard from again, happens for no reason.

Wowowow, this is a crazy bit of last minute news for any Black Dynamite fans out there. Ars Nova and Nerdist Industries will be hosting the premiere of the first issue of the BD comic series, Slave Island , tomorrow at Meltdown Comics in Los Angeles. However, if that wasn't enough, it was just announced today that the Adult Swim series pilot will be screened as well. What! Awesome!

The Green Lantern trailer debuted late last year to a pretty lukewarm reception. Warner Bros was obviously not to happy about that, and since then, it's been reported that they rushed the VFX work out for the trailer, and have regretted it ever since. Apparently though, the footage shown at WonderCon this past weekend got a much warmer reception. So warm in fact, that they've edited four minutes of the footage and released it online. Reportedly, some of it wasn't even shown at WonderCon... Read Full Story

Hello world! I know it's been a long time since I've done one of these, and while I usually try to avoid doing a Rantbox solely dedicated to simply apologizing for not doing Rantboxes, that is what this is. If it's any consolation, I have a somewhat decent excuse.

Rumors of footage that would help bridge the gap between Legacy and the third Tron film seem be for the most part true, with a second clip making its way onto the internet. It follows the first segment, the ten minute " Next Day ," and is quite a bit more succinct. The clip features Edward Dillinger, played by David Warner in the first film, speaking with his son, Cillian Murphy in Legacy .

Warner Bros is looking to follow the leader it would seem. With so much hype behind Marvel's massive Avengers multi-film project, it seems like DC and Warner Bros want a piece of the pie as well. Warner Bros motion picture group president Jeff Robinov announced plans to bring a Justice League film to the big screen by 2013. It sounds a little farfetched to me, but hey, could be cool.

I was not interested in Rango at first. The trailer did not capture my attention. First of all, it wasn't pretty to look at. Secondly, the idea of seeing Gore Verbinski and Johnny Depp team up for a fourth time seemed like they were just beating a dead horse. Then I started hearing through the grapevine that the film was actually pretty good. I know this may sound un-American, but Westerns are my least favorite genre, so I went into Rango with reservations. I was afraid I would not be able... Read Full Story

Quentin Tarantino's Wet Dream Sucker Punch is a blended mash-up of so many genres that it's hard to pinpoint exactly what this movie is or what it's trying to do. No one can deny that it isn't a visually stunning action piece with some of the best CGI out there, but it packs so many head scratching plot points that it's impossible not to try and dig for a deeper meaning. On the surface, it is about a group of sexually empowered hookers fighting to escape their oppression. The femme fatale... Read Full Story
