There's a good interview with Coronation Street Producer Phil Collinson in the Manchester Evening News. He talks about his job at the helm of our favourite show and reveals how long he's signed up for at Corrie.
He says: “The show is moving to Salford Quays next year. That’s a very big move for us. I’ll see that through as producer. So that takes me into the middle of next year. I can’t see beyond that at the moment. I’m happy to be creatively leading the show and still think I’ve got... Read Full Story

There's a bit of a story in today's Mirror which isn't exactly a spoiler and it's not exactly a story either. It says a "well placed source" at Coronation Street has told the paper "not to rule out a summer wedding" between Rita and Dennis.
Rita and Dennis getting married is something we fans have voted for here on the Coronation Street Blog.
And the paper goes on to say that away from the cameras, the partnership between Barbara Knox (Rita) and Philip Lowrie (Dennis) has blossomed... Read Full Story

Jason Grinshaw's all alone on the cobbles now that Rosie's gone off to that London to be a star on reality TV. So, that leaves Jason single on the Street and as we all know in soapland, that just won't do.

There's some excellent news from this week's Inside Soap magazine about an upcoming custody battle for the Barlows.
Leanne and Peter look set to go head-to-head in the battle for little Simon and it's all going to kick off soon. First, Peter asks Carla to pick up Simon from school where he lashes out at her, kicking and screaming all the way home. Stella rings Leanne to tell her what's happened and Leanne returns to the cobbles determined to get Simon away from Carla.
Also, Inside Soap... Read Full Story

Why, why, why do they always pair Eileen off with someone with complications, why can't she just find a nice bloke? Usually it is the people she is paired off with that I end up disliking though.
This time it is Eileen who I am finding myself annoyed with, what she is doing is not right, no matter how she dresses it up. Paul is in a very vunerable position, sure he needs a friend, but that doesn't seem enough for Eileen.
I don't really know how Eileen can look poor Lesley in the face... Read Full Story

There's an excellent storyline coming up next week in Coronation Street. Guess who moves in with Tracy Barlow next week? Only knicker-stitcher Beth and her silent son, Craig!
Since Beth moved back to Coronation Street and got herself a job at freaky Frank's factory, this fan has been wishing and hoping her son Craig would turn up again soon, and now he has.
This storyline looks set to raise a few laughs and anything that cheeses off Tracy Barlow is a good thing in my books. I guess as... Read Full Story

Hello all! Now, I hope you've voted in the fifth poll of ten because that is now officially closed. But you have until midnight next Tuesday to vote for two of your favourite characters in the sixth poll.
So, who's in our sixth poll?
Rita Sullivan - Queen of the Kabin and Duchess of the Street. A personal favourite of mine, she's been married twice and has had about 15 boyfriends! Her most memorable storyline was in the 80s when she was tormented at the hands of Alan Bradley who tried to... Read Full Story
