For the past 60 years Houston has had the H-E-B Thanksgiving Parade downtown. They have changed the name from Thanksgiving to Holiday. But I'm going to call it Thanksgiving. The parade will be broadcast on the CBC affiliate, Channel 11 and seen in major cities around Texas.

Friday, November 27 The Children's Museum of Houston will be having extra activities to celebrate Thanksgiving. By the end of the week, the kids will be ready for some fun. The museum will have a float parade which will be each childs floats down the hallways of the museum. Float making will be from 10am until 1pm and the Parade will begin at 1pm.

George R. Brown will be the site of feeding Houston's needy and hungry on Thanksgiving Day at 10am. Unfortunately, this year donations and volunteers support are down. This years 25,000 hungry people are expected, and as of now, there is not enough food for that many people, unless alot arrives before Thursday.
Families that are hurting because of the down economy will there as well, not just the homeless. Corpoate donations are down, also due to the economy.
