Requiem for a Dream is one of the most disturbing and brilliant movies I’ve ever seen. Replace all of the actors with puppets and you have a masterpiece. Fans of the movie will find a lot to love in this short little trailer. All of the key themes and bits seem to be here, from the refridgerator to the TV to “tail to tail” action. Matt Damon opted not to return to the Bourne series for a fourth outing, but that isn’t stopping Universal. The studio promoted the writer of the first three films, Tony Gilroy, to direct The Bourne Legacy, and it has concocted a new character, played by Jeremy Renner, to take Jason Bourne’s place. I do not know much about The Hunger Games  but it’s rumored to be the next big movie series for teens. The film is based on the first of a book series by Suzanne Collins and is about a futuristic society where the rich have so much power and control that they actually force each of the country’s 12 districts of workers to sacrifice one of their own citizens to do battle with one another until only one lives. The story here is pretty simple: three highschool students discover a giant hole in the ground that gives them super powers. The question is, what do you do when you can do anything ?
