An Interesting Fact
Ladies--you are in luck! As you can see, I am a cool guy AND I HAPPEN TO BE SINGLE!
Here it is purdy danged close to 5 a.m. and I am not in the least bit sleepy. My thoughts have turned to my blog, and I was wondering what to write about. Then it hit me! One sleepless night in my Junior year of college I penned this poetic gem at a computer in the Hill Hall lobby and entered it in Poetry.com. So I just went back to the site, searched my name, and cut and pasted my Insomnia poem. Sorry, it isn't in any style nor is it in iambic pentameter. Happy sleeping!InsomniaHere I amWhat... WARNING: THIS STORY IS VERY GRUESOME AND SAD. If this doesn't sound like something you want to read, don't! I have many other posts that are entertaining and lighthearted. This one is not. It was an English assignment to write a story that messes with time, such as the flashback and slow motion. This story does both. And I got the idea from seeing some very gruesome pictures of an accident scene, which is similar to the one I describe. Since the pictures told me nothing of the victim's life, ... Read Full Story
Hi.Well, I am still facing a lawsuit for big money. I am a nursing student. I need to work. Oh, and over a few months, I have managed to piss off some guys who have either threatened my directly or indirectly.Since I pretty much hold nothing back on here, that is bound to bite me in a legal, academic, professional, or health (if any of those guys carry out their threats) sense. I don't want to pull out of my public blog, but I feel I have to, now.So what I am going to do is move to a pass... Read Full Story
"Mr. Scott, do you have a wife?" five year old Enrique asked from the tiny table where he had just created a work of art."No, I don't," I replied."Oh. Then you can have this picture I drew," he said as he folded up the paper and handed it to me.I put the art in a front pocket of my daycare apron and said, &q... Read Full Story
I went to my stomping grounds (where I guzzle tea or coffee, study, read, and chop it up with other would-be English majors) yesterday. I knew there was a musician scheduled to play at 7, but I showed up like 4 hours early. I got a pot of Rishi Peach Blossom White Tea. Well, I haven't tried all the Rishi teas that Synergy sells yet, but of the 20 or so I have tried, this one is by far the best. The peach flavor is strong mixed with the delicate tea. It isn't sweet by itself, so 1 pack... Read Full Story
Dad is going on almost a month long trip. He's going to tow his motorcycle behind the Jeep and drive East. During the trip he will go to several motorcycle rallies, see a concert or two, and spend a little time in Maine with family. Ahhh... retirement. I wonder how many thousands of dollars he's going to spend in gas on this little trip!I suppose I could go with him, but I really don't like road trips all that much. Even though I love visiting Maine, and haven't been since I w... Read Full Story
