More Free Music - Zoot Woman

This whole ‘giving away free music’ is kind of nice, isn’t it? So, you’ve heard the Coldplay track (a new – but yet very same - direction) and you’ve downloaded the new CSS freebie (a little too pop from the Brazilain kooky five piece?) and now hear new Zoot Woman.

Right, so, who are Zoot Woman? Well, they have released two albums to date and achieved little mainstream success. Most importantly for you and me though is that a member of Zoot Woman is a certain Mr Stewart Price (a.k.a. Les Rythmes Digitales a.k.a. The Thin White Duke). Price also produced two amazing albums by Madonna and Seal, Confessions… and System, respectively.

This means, quite simply, that Zoot Woman are one of the best produced bands out there. Yes, they are very electro-pop and VERY European sounding but just listen to how much work is going on underneath the vocals – it is astounding. And hey – both the songs below (We Won’t Break is especially worthy of your time) were free!
