How to Twitter - Part 2

This is the second part to the How to Twitter blog posted earlier. A lot of things were covered, but obviously not all. This is mostly about the different things when you are viewing someone else’s Twitter Profile.

It’s obvious, but we’ll still say it, just in case you’re still confused. First it’s the name, location, website if they have one, and a brief bio on the person. Then just like you’re homepage it’s how many people are following them, how many they are following, how many updates they have made. You can click the word “updates” to refresh and see any latest updates if they just tweeted more while you were viewing their page. Next you have “Favorites” which you can click to see that person’s favorites posts. Next you see where you can block them. Then you have who they are following with tiny pictures of the people. Like a friend list on MySpace.

When you hover over ANY post, you will see two little buttons. The top one is a star which you can click to favorite that post. Then it’s an arrow which you can click to reply to that person.

If you click it, you will be taken to your twitter page with your form to type your reply in. There will be “@” and then the name of the person you are replying too there. Once you hit “submit” you will still be at your page. If you want to get back to that person’s page, you have to click their name. You can also reply by manually typing in the “@” sign and their name. Works just as well.
