The Ultimate Badass
Forget Chuck Norris, David Hasselhoff, and Burt Reynolds. This guy is the toughest human being ever. I don't know how it came about...but the guy caught a swordfish with his bare hands. I can't catch rainbow trout with a fishing rod. Read Full Story
Britt & The Spoon Guys Visit Craig Ferguson Tonight
If you can fight through the obnoxious member of F.A.G. (Film Actors Guild) Alec Baldwin, you will get to hear the sweet sounds of Spoon tonight on "The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson". These shows never do bands justice really but Spoon is worth watching/setting up the TiVo...which is what I will be doing. I have my money on hearing "You Got Yr Cherry Bomb". That's my guess. Anxiously Awaiting 7:50 PM Central Standard Time
After months of waiting, I will finally be seeing "There Will Be Blood" tonight. My hopes and expectations of this movie are off the charts. Out of every movie I have seen in the past year, I haven't looked forward to one more than this. My review will be up and running tomorrow afternoon. I hope to bring back news of Orson Wells-like greatness. Read Full Story
Big Changes Coming Up For "Cinematically Correct"
Over the next month or two, there are going to be some changes on Cinematically Correct. There won't be a new site address or anything that drastic but two things will be happening. The first will have no effect on the readers, it's just another site that will have some Cinematically Correct-ness dropped on it. There is a chance I will be writing some material for The Big Movie Review. It's a cool film site based in the United Kingdom. I learned about the site from Zac over at Films Z-C... Read Full Story
As If I Didn't Want To See "Cloverfield" Enough...
One of my favorite websites to visit is Hollywood Elsewhere. It's written by Jeffrey Wells and he and I share the same views...on movies. Personal politics aside, I am a great admirer of his work. Here is a tiny review of "Cloverfield" from Wells. Look, every review could suck for this movie and I'm still going to see it. This review is the exact opposite...it is glowing. Trust me, Wells doesn't go for this type of movie that often so it really must be great. Read Full Story
The DGA Loves "Lost"
Since "Lost" has been screwed out of numerous Golden Globe and Emmy nominations this year, it's good to see that an awards group still recognizes that the show is still greatness. The DGA announced it's TV nominations and "Lost" was nominated twice for Nightly Dramatic Series. The Directors Guild of America (DGA) recognizes directorial achievement and they got the Dramatic Series category spot-on correct. Jack Bender was nominated for the "Lost" episode "Through The Looking Glass", which... Read Full Story
Bale To Join Depp In Michael Mann's "Public Enemies"
As if the idea of Johnny Depp as John Dillinger isn't enough? Christian Bale is in talks to play Melvin Purvis, the FBI agent who hunted down Dillinger. The movie also follows the investigation of Baby Face Nelson and Pretty Boy Floyd by Purvis. Filming is scheduled to begin very soon in Chicago, which after filming "The Dark Knight" in Chi-town must be Bale's second home. There are so many great cat-and-mouse thrillers out there with really great actors. Michael Mann has really patented... Read Full Story
Hold On A Second...No "Cloverfield" Today? Think Again!
The J.J. Abrams' produced feature film, "Cloverfield", will be released on January 18th, 2008. The production of said film has been kept very secret and there have been numerous online marketing...oh screw it. If you don't know about this movie, you have never used the Internet. Here are some production stills from the set. Read Full Story
Toni Collette Is A New Mom!
Toni Collette
Cinematically Correct is a big fan of Toni Collette. She's a great actress and there better be an Oscar sitting around with her name already etched into it. Toni has been married for four years now and today, she had her first kid. There aren't any details available yet on boy/girl/name/awesome actor just yet. Read Full Story
