THE DARK KNIGHT-2008-3 1/2 STARS
This movie was excellent for several reasons, and one of them was because most of it was filmed in the city I was born and raised in, sweet home Chicago! Where else would you make a blockbuster action packed movie? Only thing is, where in the hell was I when the city was being blown to bits by the Joker? Let’s talk about him for a hot second, do you think that the Joker was able to live up to all that hype? The answer is, HELL YES! While I really didn’t care to see his face on every Poster... MUSHISHI-INSIDE THE CAGE-EPISODE 14-3 1/2 STARS
In this episode, we find Ginko, but unfortunately he’s lost in a bamboo forest, along with a guy named Kisuke. They have a nice conversation, then split up, and Ginko is able to make his way out of the forest. A few ladies from a nearby village approach him to say that Kisuke is being held hostage by a monster, which just happens to be a white bamboo tree. This amazes Ginko, and he goes back into the forest to do some research. He runs into Kisuke again, who tells a story about a couple... Read Full Story
MUSHISHI-ONE NIGHT BRIDGE-EPISODE 13-3 1/2 STARS
Ginko is on his way to perform a mushi examination, but he’ll have to cross a bridge in order to get there. Only thing is, the bridge looks like it’s about to collapse, “Hurry up Ginko, and get to the other side before it falls!” Now the client is Hana. She fell from a bridge three years ago, but now she’s zombified. I mean, she’s walking around and breathing, but that’s about it. She doesn’t talk or crack jokes, so what good is she? Ginko doesn’t give his mushi diagnosis yet, until he... Read Full Story
DESCENDANTS OF DARKNESS-THE KYOTO FILE PART 1-EPISODE 10-3 STARS
I like this episode. Not because of a particular scene, or some spectacular fighting, but because I get a chance to see Watari, and get some awesome screenshots of him, what a hunk! Serial murders are taking place all around Kyoto, so Hisoka, Tsuzuki, and Watari are sent in to investigate. Watari has a bit of evidence in his hand, a small bag of platinum blond hair left on one of the murder victims. Tsuzuki suspects Muraki, and speaking of him, I wonder what he’s up to?  We find out when he... Read Full Story
HANCOCK-2008-4 STARS
I have a question, can you name the last time Will Smith was in a bad movie, ’cause I can’t! Yes, I know, a lot of the critics didn’t like this one, but I’m sure Will doesn’t care as he goes home to his million dollar estate somewhere in Beverly Hills. I don’t understand, what a unique storyline, how many superheroes are portrayed in movies as lovable, but lone emos, falling down drunk, and destroying public property? Give the writer kudos for bringing an interesting plot to the table! Only... Read Full Story
NARUTO-THE WEAPONS KNOWN AS SHINOBI-EPISODE 18-3 STARS
As you all know our little Inari is growing up, and now he’s not afraid of anything. So he goes to his uncle’s house to persuade him to join in the fight at the bridge. Only thing is, the old fart is a coward, and won’t even open the damn door. “Don’t worry Inari, if you end up going alone, I’m sure Naruto will have your back.” Okay, now let’s get back to the bridge. Kakashi is owning Zabuza right now, and is about to use his new and improved lighting blade jutsu to end this once and for... Read Full Story
NARUTO-WHITE PAST HIDDEN AMBITION-EPISODE 17-3 STARS
This is a good episode, but there’s way too much dialogue dispersed between some awesome fight scenes. Yeah, I know it’s a major problem in anime, but that doesn’t mean I can’t complain about it. Now where did we leave off in episode 16? Oh yeah, Naruto became possessed by the nine tail fox, and now he’s beating the crap out of Haku, knocking him into oblivion, and destroying the mirror jutsu. Haku’s mask falls off right before Naruto sends him sailing again, and finds out that Haku is... Read Full Story
FRUITS BASKET-A SOLITARY NEW YEAR-EPISODE 9-2 STARS
Tohru and the zodiac gang decide to do some New Years cleaning, and friends Arisa, and Saki join in. Kyo gets pissed off, probably at the wind this time, and Arisa tells him in her own way to shut the hell up. Kyo shoots back by calling her a dirty bitch. WHAT WAS THAT? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Now you can see in the picture above what Arisa does to him, but I can tell you right now, it’s not enough. If I was there, everybody would be getting a screen shot of me ramming my fist down his throat... Read Full Story
MUSHISHI-ONE EYED FISH-EPISODE 12-4 STARS
Now for all of you that have millions of questions about Ginko, this episode will give you all the answers you need. Up to this point, I’ve been pretty satisfied with the mini dossier I had on Ginko. I know he’s a mushi master who travels from village to village exterminating mushi that causes other people discomfort, and sometimes claiming their lives. As the series progressed, I became more focused on the different episode, and forgot to worry about Ginko, who was just doing his thing... Read Full Story
MUSHISHI-THE SLEEPING MOUNTAIN-EPISODE 11-2 1/2 STARS
One of the good things about Mushishi is that there’s always mushi drama lurking about, and people are always droppin’ like flies. Unfortunately, this episode contains a boring death, but I can guarantee you that the next 3 episodes on the DVD are better. In the first scene, everyone is watching a hole in a mountain nearby. Now Ginko is supposed to be looking too, but he’s way too busy stuffing his face with noodles, and almost misses it. He does get a brief glance, but in an instant, the... Read Full Story
