I remember this chef from Top Chef Masters as being one of the nicest chefs on the show. He was very likable, with a kind face and great sportsmanship. He definitely should be asked back for another chance at the title. I found this signed copy of his cookbook, Fantastico!--actually one of the only cookbooks of his I've found second hand. His other books must either fly off the shelves or people hold on tightly to their copies as I've spotted some other celebrity-like authors' cookbooks... Read Full Story

I 've had the pleasure of dining at many celebrity-chef-owned restaurants from Wolfgang Puck's Chinois on Main and Spago to Susan Feniger's Border Grill. I could only wish to dine at Todd English's Olives, an award winning restaurant in Boston and Las Vegas known for their Mediterranean/Italian-inspired dishes. My wife would take great pleasure in tasting his famous Olives Tart with goat cheese and olives. In any case, this is the third or fourth time now that I've had his cookbook, The... Read Full Story

I came across a signed copy of a Nick Stellino book where it was buried among a slew of newer cookbooks by the latest celebrity chefs. I am on occasion lucky enough to find a signed copy if patient enough to look inside the pages of dozens and dozens of books before striking collector's "gold." I've had other signed Stellino books in the past and immediately recognized his nearly 1/3 page signature that looks like another name altogether...but is distinctly Stellino. About Nick Stellino Nick... Read Full Story

Next to Julia Child, when you think of French cooking, you think of chef Jacques Pépin. He is still a top seller in the cookbook world unlike many of his peers who saw their heyday vanish after their numerous best-sellers and celebrity chefdom eventually tire out their readers/viewers. I have only once before acquired a signed Jacques Pépin cookbook and it's quiet a pleasure to have come across another--and one of the earlier books. A signed Jacques Pépin cookbook like the one shown below... Read Full Story

People often wonder what their cookbooks are worth. A simple search on the Internet may yield a vast range of cookbooks that appear at first to be valuable. Don't be fooled. Many cookbook sellers "park" their cookbooks on sites such as Amazon, eBay or Abe Books and ask an insane price, way above the true value. It would be difficult for me to sit and list prices that my books have fetched over the past year or to name even the top 100 most valuable cookbooks in terms of price. Still, I can...
